Google Gemini 3.8 Flash Is Now Available in EidoStack
Explore Google Gemini 3.8 Flash in the EidoStack AI Playground. Chat with the model, try your prompts, compare responses, and inspect token usage and estimated costs.

EidoStack now supports Google Gemini 3.8 Flash, so developers can try the model in the Playground, experiment with prompts, compare its responses, and inspect token usage and estimated costs.
Gemini 3.8 Flash is Google's latest Flash model, designed for demanding reasoning, software engineering, agentic workflows, and knowledge work while maintaining the speed and cost profile associated with the Flash family.
With EidoStack, you can use Gemini 3.8 Flash with your own Google AI API key, chat with the model, and compare its behavior against other supported models from Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic in one AI Playground.
What Is Gemini 3.8 Flash?
Google released Gemini 3.8 Flash on September 2, 2026. The model is generally available through the Gemini API and is positioned as Google's most intelligent Flash model to date.
According to Google's current Gemini API documentation, Gemini 3.8 Flash includes:
- 1,048,576 input tokens of context
- 65,536 maximum output tokens
- Configurable thinking levels: low, medium, and high
- Support for structured outputs, function calling, code execution, search grounding, caching, and other Gemini API capabilities
- A model ID of
gemini-3.8-flash
Google currently lists introductory API pricing of $0.75 per 1 million input tokens and $3.75 per 1 million output tokens through December 31, 2026. Google states that standard pricing will change beginning January 1, 2027, so always check the current Gemini API pricing before making production cost estimates.

Why Evaluate Gemini 3.8 Flash in EidoStack?
A model release tells you what a model can do in benchmarks and general evaluations. It does not tell you whether that model is the right choice for your prompts, your application, your quality requirements, and your budget.
That is where model evaluation becomes important.
The EidoStack Playground lets developers work with Gemini 3.8 Flash alongside other supported AI models. You can try the same prompts, compare responses, and inspect usage data without switching between provider tools.
Compare Responses Side by Side
Run the same prompt against Gemini 3.8 Flash and another supported model, then compare the responses directly.
This is useful when you want to answer questions such as:
- Does Gemini 3.8 Flash produce a better result for my use case?
- Is the difference in quality significant enough to justify a different model?
- Which model follows my system prompt more reliably?
- Which model gives the best balance between quality, latency, and price?
Analyze Token Usage and Cost
Model pricing alone does not tell you what an actual workflow will cost.
EidoStack lets you inspect token usage and estimated cost for your real prompts and conversations. This makes it easier to compare the economics of Gemini 3.8 Flash with alternative models under realistic conditions.
For example, a model with a lower token price is not necessarily cheaper if it consistently produces much longer responses or requires more iterations to reach an acceptable result.
Understand Context Consumption
Gemini 3.8 Flash supports a very large context window, but context size still needs to be managed deliberately.
EidoStack's context visualization helps you understand how system prompts, conversation history, and the current prompt contribute to context usage. This is especially useful when testing long conversations, large instructions, or workflows that depend on substantial context.
Experiment Before Production
Changing the model behind an AI application can affect quality, latency, cost, prompt behavior, and edge cases.
Instead of making that decision directly in production, you can first reproduce representative prompts in EidoStack, compare candidate models, and inspect the resulting metrics.
The goal is simple: collect enough evidence to choose the right model with confidence.
Bring Your Own Google AI API Key
EidoStack uses a Bring Your Own API Key model.
You can connect your Google AI API key through the EidoStack API key vault and use it to evaluate Gemini 3.8 Flash. API credentials in the vault are encrypted locally in your browser using the Web Crypto API.
This gives you direct control over your provider account and model usage while using the EidoStack AI Playground to experiment with prompts, compare responses, and inspect usage.
How to Try Gemini 3.8 Flash
If you already use EidoStack with Google AI, getting started is straightforward:
- Open your EidoStack workspace.
- Make sure your Google AI API key is configured.
- Select Gemini 3.8 Flash from the available Google models.
- Run your prompt and inspect the response, token usage, latency, context, and estimated cost.
- Use comparison mode to run the same prompt against another model and evaluate the trade-offs side by side.
If you are evaluating a model for a real application, use representative prompts from that application rather than generic benchmark questions. The most useful model evaluation is the one that reflects your actual production workload.
More Models, Better Engineering Decisions
The AI model landscape is changing quickly. New releases can improve reasoning, coding, latency, context capacity, or cost efficiency, but no single model is automatically the best choice for every application.
EidoStack is designed around that reality.
By adding Gemini 3.8 Flash, EidoStack gives developers another model to explore in the same Playground, alongside other supported models they already use.
